The Ortsblick house is located on a quiet hill above the center of Wagrain in the Salzburg region and offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the village and the surrounding mountains.
The idyllic location in the middle of the Salzburg Alps makes our house the perfect starting point for numerous activities in every season.

Despite the quiet surroundings, you can reach the center of Wagrain in just 5 minutes on foot (approx. 300 meters). There you will find restaurants, shops, and many leisure activities—all within easy walking distance.

The “Apotheke / Café Bosek” ski bus stop is just a few steps away (160 meters). From here, the free ski bus takes you directly to the Snow Space Salzburg ski area, part of Ski amadé – Austria’s largest ski association with over 270 lifts and 760 kilometers of slopes. The nearest Grafenberg gondola station and the famous Flying Mozart cable car are just a few minutes away – ideal for your skiing vacation in Wagrain.

You can also benefit from the central location in summer: numerous hiking trails, mountain bike routes, and family-friendly excursion destinations start right on your doorstep or are within easy reach – including the Wagraini’s Grafenberg adventure park and the Woom Bikepark Wagrain.

Our history

A house with heart – built up over generations in Wagrain

The Haus Ortsblick in Wagrain was built by my grandparents in 1955 – with a lot of love, vision, and the desire to create a place of relaxation in the middle of the Alps.

In 1982, my parents extensively expanded the house, turning it into a popular vacation destination in the Salzburg region. Only one room remained in its original condition—everything else was redesigned with comfort and hospitality in mind.

With the private extension in 1991 and the construction of the carports in 1998, our house continued to develop over the years – always with the aim of offering our guests more than just a cozy vacation apartment – namely, genuine relaxation, personal hospitality, and a vacation with a view.

Since I took over – now the third generation – in 2022, we have been focusing more on modern and sustainable solutions: New windows, environmentally friendly pellet heating, and a photovoltaic system ensure a pleasant indoor climate and responsible use of energy.

Today, Haus Ortsblick is a true family business—run with heart, rooted in Wagrain, and open to the future. What remains is our commitment: to offer you a loving temporary home—for relaxing holidays in the heart of the Salzburg Alps.
